The American artist Abott Handerson Thayer painted beautiful women, often depicted as angelic beings with perfectly designed wings. However, he was a very versatile painter, as he also painted nature scenes and still lives. Thayer was a member of the National Academy of Design in New York as well as being a birdwatcher and camouflage colour theorist. His angels, flowers and landscapes are a perfect addition to any well styled room, for example as aluminium prints or framed art prints.
